Teens learn about resume, cover letter, and reference page
writing, dressing for the interview, preparing for the
interview, and searching for jobs on the Internet.
Teens have a special place in my heart and in the world today! It is important for us to show teens the contributions they can make to their self-esteem, their homes, their communities, and their world. Currently, there is a lot of news centering around teen bullying, teen suicide, teen violence, teen drug and alcohol use/abuse, teen sexuality, and teens' lack of education. The economic down-turn has also had an impact on teens as they worry about how their families will make ends meet, how they will afford their needs/wants, and how they will afford a college education. With a gift for giving high-energy presentations and a wealth of knowledge in Child, Youth, and Family Studies, I decided I needed to be part of the solution to these problems facing today's teens!
